Our Educational Curriculum

Our Educational Curriculum

Ross Circuit Preschool is committed to providing a rich inquiry and play based curriculum with educational outcomes which are guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Frameworks.

Our specific curriculums are appropriate for our 3 to 4 year olds (Early Years) and our 4 to 5 year olds (Transition Years). All are informed by our understanding of each child and their strengths, building confidence, curiosity and resilience.

The staff at Ross Circuit Preschool aim to support children in becoming emotionally and socially competent, confident and successful learners.

The frameworks under which we operate are:

NATIONAL QUALITY FRAMEWORK

EARLY YEARS LEARNING FRAMEWORK

ECA CODE OF ETHICS

THE CHILD SAFE STANDARDS

EDUCATION AND CARE SERVICES NATIONAL REGULATIONS

UNITED NATIONS DECLARATION OF THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILD

These frameworks and regulations are used by us to guide and enhance all children’s participation and learning at Ross Circuit. Working within these frameworks enables our staff to continually improve our service delivery and our work with children.

I am continuing to practice, explore and develop...

  • Strong emotional foundations and the capacity to cope with, manage and express a variety of feelings.

  • How to solve problems.

  • Curiosity about the world and build on my prior knowledge.

  • Understandings about diversity and the uniqueness of others, my rights and the rights of others.

  • My ability to make decisions, choices and take responsibility for myself.

  • My literacy, STEM and numeracy skills as I play, explore and communicate with others.

In my Early Years, remember I am learning...

  • To share and play with my friends.

  • My rights and responsibilities.

  • To do things by myself and for myself.

  • To do things at my own pace.

  • To recognise and name my own and other's thoughts and feelings.

  • To revisit familiar experience and to practice and master new learning and skills.

  • About STEM, literacy and numeracy as I play, explore, and communicate with others.
